| Can the NL win the World Series this year? I say the Mets can, but no one else. The West is packed with parity, and no one is standing out there, and the Cardinals and Reds have no realistic hopes. The Cards aren't what they used to be and the Reds have been overachieving all season. Sure, I'd like to see them continue to overachieve right through the playoffs, but it ain't gonna' happen. The Mets are hands down the best the NL has to offer this year. I think the NL CAN do it, but it has to be the Mets. |

Well, apparently they did!
So much for the Cardinals having no realistic hopes. |
