Should be Selig be there when Barry Bonds breaks the All-Time home run record? The Giants begin a series in Milwaukee tonight, right in Bud's own backyard. Barry is only 2 home runs shy of Aaron's 755. He hit 2 against the Cubs yesterday to break out of his slump. There's no reason to think he won't break the record in Milwaukee.
Selig needs to be there. Regardless of how he feels about Barry Bonds, and the steroid controversy surrounding him, this is possibly the most sacred record in baseball, and it needs to be respected. The Commissioner needs to be there when the record falls. |
